Bushwick Open Studios also known as BOS is a three day arts and crafts festival that allows artists to open their studios up to the public. Local artists showcase their work in restuarants, studios, and even their homes that are located in the neighborhood, allowing the artists to connect with the residents of Bushwick.

With the recent success of the Arts and Rhymes pop up gallery, DASH TO DINE, Burger It Up wanted to join forces again with the art collective in bringing art to the neighboorhod. Arts and Rhymes participated in all three days of BOS during the weekend of May 31st; Hosting an art show on Friday, a live poetry reading/book signing on Saturday, and a Letter Science Childrens Workshop on Sunday.

The Children's Workshop was directed by well-known Bushwick native Graffiti Artist WaAak STF. This workshop taught the kids how to form the alphabet using a graffiti style of writing. WaAak spent time with each child and showed them how to write their names in this style. The parents and kids had such a great time enjoying the food, and music and learning how to do graffiti. The goal was to give the children an environment where they could stay off the streets and focus their energy on creative activities even for a day. Arts and Rhymes along with Burger It Up had a great time in achieving that and hope to create more opportunities like this in the future.
